SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY - Postal Orders only

Overview

At Vida Bakery all products are freshly baked and prepared to order.

Orders are dispatched from our production kitchen in London on the dispatch date selected at checkout.

Delivery is carried out by third-party courier services.

Dispatch Dates

When placing your order you will be asked to select a dispatch date.

The dispatch date refers to the day your order leaves our kitchen.

Orders are typically dispatched in the afternoon on the selected date.

Please note that dispatch date is not the same as delivery date.

Delivery Options

Customers can choose between two delivery options at checkout.

Standard Delivery – £5.50

Standard delivery typically arrives within 1–2 working days after dispatch, depending on courier operations.

This service is not guaranteed for a specific delivery date.

Express Delivery – £10

Express delivery aims to arrive the next working day after dispatch.

This service is recommended if your order is required for a specific date or event.

Delivery Times

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on factors outside our control including:

  1. courier operations
  2. weather conditions
  3. seasonal demand
  4. transport disruptions

While most parcels arrive within the expected timeframe, delivery dates cannot be guaranteed unless Express Delivery is selected.

Courier Responsibility

Vida Bakery works with trusted courier services such as DHL.

Once your order has been dispatched and handed to the courier, delivery is managed by the courier company and is outside of our direct control.

Vida Bakery cannot be held responsible for delays caused by courier operations.

However, we will always assist customers in tracking their order and communicating with the courier where possible.

Incorrect Delivery Details

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information at checkout.

Vida Bakery cannot be held responsible for delivery issues caused by:

  1. incorrect address information
  2. incomplete postcode details
  3. restricted access to the delivery location
  4. absence at the delivery address
  5. absence of an email address to receive tracking information

If a parcel is returned to us due to incorrect information, a redelivery charge may apply.

Multiple Products in One Order

If an order contains items with different dispatch dates, the entire order will be dispatched together on the latest available dispatch date.

If you would like items delivered separately, please place separate orders.

Damaged Parcels

All orders are carefully packaged before leaving our kitchen.

If your parcel arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and include photographs of:

  1. the outer packaging
  2. the product
  3. the shipping label

This helps us investigate the issue with the courier.

Lost Parcels

If a parcel is confirmed lost by the courier, we will offer either:

  1. a replacement order
  2. a full refund

Seasonal Dispatch Periods

During busy seasonal periods such as Christmas, dispatch may take place on specific scheduled dates.

These dispatch dates will always be clearly displayed on the product page at the time of purchase.
